Yitao Li’s newest collection for Tattao’s Fall/Winter 25 follows her continuous theme of nostalgia and non-conformity. Born in Taiyuan, China and moved to the United States at 14, Li’s rebellious stage stemmed from her choice of not following in her family expectations as well as their footsteps of working in finance or economics. In her first collection she was inspired by vintage cartoons, in this newest collection she drew from “antique furniture reimagined through the chaotic motion of a paper shredder”.
Tension courses throughout Allina Liu’s Fall 2025 collection like the Hammond Organ’s slurred drone in the Lisbon family home. American Gothic at its best, Liu’s collection is an excavation of identity from the entanglement of insecurities, fears, and traumas that bloom in hostile environments. This fall line was conceived from a short story written by Allina herself. It begins with Yeha jolting awake to the sight of her sister, Meg lying across from her. Their pinkies still intertwined from their nightly ritual of wishing for a better tomorrow despite knowing better. Their parents made hell pale in comparison to home, so each other was all they had.
Lithuanian-American born designer Aiste Hong presented her ready to wear Fall/Winter 25 collection titled “White Nights” on February 7th. Hong has stated that her collection is “inspired by the beauty and mysticism of the European summer phenomenon when the nights never darken.” Her design choices were heavily inspired by her childhood memories and the transition from light to dark.

I recently had the honor of sitting with the multi-hyphenate and gentle-spirited Corinne Bobrow-Williams on a sunny day in Bedstuy. We grabbed a tea from September Café and sat on a stoop, talking for hours about their beginnings in photography, posing feminine bodies in front of recycled backdrops, how the South informed the way they see the world at large, the beauty of being Black, and the exploitative nature of money. Corinne’s presence and the gems of wisdom they left with me during our conversation were the breaths of fresh air I needed on an otherwise sweltering Tuesday. I hope you find the same.
Lots of people call themselves multidisciplinary arts, all encompassing arts, but not everyone has the portfolio to back it like Jean does. Entrusted with the hair and makeup of icons such as the Clermont Twins, JT, and Dreamdoll; her face on the occasional Brandon Blackwood campaign the list only goes on and grows further by the week with Jean. All this in the effort to be able to get her creative visions just right. Now tapped into photography, Jean now has her feet in everyone’s place on set. Nonetheless, she took some time to let me know how going with the flow was her way out of the box and let me know what mental switches happen behind and in front of cameras.
At just 23, Queen Amina has revamped herself into a meticulously diligent artistic butterfly. This up-and-coming creative visionary has broken free from her cocoon, and her hands are not to be tampered with. A young and passionate artist, with a skill and talent that compares to few is in a league of her own.
Dosha Deng, captivating the limelight for the last 4 years, took some time on her younger brother’s birthday no less, to sit and talk with me from a hot LA day. The young model, who at this point you’ve probably seen on GIA’s latest campaign, or maybe Barbie’s European campaign? The list is only accumulating on where you’ve seen her face and she happily let me know it’s only the beginning for her and for more darker-skinned models as we spoke further on the topic of whose faces she’s seeing in castings.
