Walking into Cucculelli Shaheen felt like being a roadie on a major rock tour in the 70’s - the fashion, the glitz, the glam but most importantly the RUNWAY was designed for you to feel the acoustic beats and model pumps on a spiritual level.
The Spyrals set the scene as the models strut the runway teleporting us into a completely different era, with a modern tough of course. Models walked down separate ends of the U-shaped runway dripped in stunning garments featuring Cucculelli Shaheen's signature lacing and embellishments, flowing with each move, attractively shaping each models curves — luxe, think a subtle hint of Woodstock Festival but you're staying in a luxury cabin and not tripping on shrooms or trudging through mud. Beautifully tailored with just the right amount of sex appeal.
Alexis Bittar, NYC-based jewelry designer, dripped the models in his gorgeous pieces each complimenting the garments beautifully and intentionally as well — the 39 look collection left us fully satiated and was a cohesive ode to an era in a time when times were easier and fashion more carefree— a true time of self-expression in its highest form. Closing the show was an unfiltered short dress laced bridal look that gave the audience a boho-style bride— we all know that one girl who has been “married” for years but wanted to make it official just for the press at her Tulum Villa.
