Closing out NYFW with a bang, ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK delivered a high-energy, culture-infused spectacle celebrating Thai fashion in all its glory. The dynamic runway presentation spotlighted four emerging Thai designers—Matter Makers, VINN PATARARIN, MERGE, and VICKTEERUT—each presenting eight to ten looks that redefined contemporary Thai style. Presented by The Treasure by DITP, Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, and Future Treasure, the show was curated by Tan Sawaddichai and styled by Sarunrat Panchiracharoen.

From the moment I stepped in, I was transported. The show opened with a striking short film projected across the walls—an ode to Thai heritage, a love letter to the energy, culture, and pulse of Bangkok after dark. And then came the clothes.

Matter Makers brought its signature streetwear edge, fusing bold graphics, playful nostalgia, and cutting-edge design. Known for collaborations with Thai icons and global names like Hello Kitty and Emoji, the brand infused the runway with rebellious energy. Then there was VINN PATARARIN—an architectural dreamscape of high-tech textiles and laser-cut precision. Their pieces didn’t just move; they interacted with light, space, and the body like wearable art. The label’s signature structural tailoring made it clear why their designs have been worn by stars like Troye Sivan and Jackson Wang.

MERGE, Thailand’s reigning denim brand, proved why its “perfect fit” jeans have taken over the scene. Their inclusive, body-positive approach to tailoring embraced individuality, making a case for denim as both everyday wear and a statement. VICKTEERUT, on the other hand, brought an effortlessly chic, minimal aesthetic—sharp tailoring, fluid femininity, and a quiet confidence that felt undeniably modern.

But no one was ready for the moment that took the show to another level. As the models strutted down the runway, I heard a loud “Woooo! Yesssss!” from the front row. At first, I thought it had to be for an influential model or a major industry insider. And then, stepping onto the runway with the kind of presence that demands attention—Anna Delvey. Yes, that Anna Delvey, ankle monitor and all. At this point, it’s basically a fashion accessory, and Panchiracharoen knew exactly how to make it work. Styled in a four-panel sequin skirt, a tailored blue blouse, and a massive fuzzy clutch with metal sphere detailing, she gave us fierce fashionista with a real ’tude and high cheekbones.

We have to give props to the show’s producer, People’s Revolution by Kelly Cutrone. It’s always a gag to be invited anywhere she’s involved, and we’re always showing up when Kelly calls us. Where Kelly Cutrone tells you to show up, you show up and you BETTA SHOW TF OUT—because when she throws any kind of event, you know it’s going to be iconic.

ICONIC GUEST LOOKS

By the end of the night, I felt like I had lived a whole new reality—one where Bangkok’s energy, fashion, and unapologetic self-expression had completely taken over. Now I get it. I get why the girls, the creatives, and the fashion lovers liiiiiveeeeee for this city. Let me book my flight ASAP—I need ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK!
