CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS X WORLDWIDE MAGAZINE. VOLUME 3, ISSUE 3. AUTUMN WINTER 2022.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - What Is One Piece Of Advice That You Want To Give To Black Creatives WORLDWIDE?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - Be patient with your craft — this is such a highlight for me this year. The more time I spend on a project or task the better the outcome will be. When something means a lot to you, give it time and handle it with grace. You’ll be surprised with your results in the end.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - What Is CORINNE WORLDWIDE?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - CORINNEWORLDWIDE is a production company with a sole focus on creative/art direction for clients and personal projects. Striving to showcase my view on our world by creating multi-faceted narratives. Along a curated collection of my work.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - What Is Your Mission / Vision With CORINNE WORLDWIDE?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - My vision/mission is to create community through this space by allowing individuals to express themselves however they see fit. By showcasing inclusivity in all aspects including gender/sexuality/ethnicity etc. Cultivating a sacred space for creativities to think freely and openly as well.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - Why Is It Important To You To Express All Aspects Of Yourself Rather Than Focusing On Just One Discipline?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - When someone is limited to just one thing it takes away the optimism of expanding one self creatively. If everyone in the world just did one thing for the rest of their life it wouldn’t feel fulfilling, at least for me. Being in a headspace of constant shifts fuels me to become the best version of myself.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - What Advice Do You Have For Someone Who Wants To Build Their Own Production Company?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - Take it a day at a time— when you have so many ideas it can become overwhelming especially when you see your vision so clearly but everyone else needs to see that as well. Having a clear understanding of your “why” is very important. When you understand your why you’ll know how to take the necessary steps to cultivate your team. You can’t do it alone so will also have to build strong relationships with people you feel like understands your vision that will help you bring it to life.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - How Would You Describe Your Aesthetic?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - I describe my aesthetic as adventurous ; the reason I say this is because one’s aesthetic is an evolution of who they are and who they are becoming.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - What Do You Want People To Take From The Work You Share With Our Community And The World?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - My work is an evolution of how I view the world around me. I want people to grasp a moment in time where everything just stops and they take a minute to create their own thoughts in their head of what each photograph or project means to them. Creating a space of optimism and questions to keep the conversation going.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - What Is Your Dream Project / Collaboration?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - My dream project would have to be with Spike Lee. Spike is someone I love dearly and admire. Their work speaks volumes and I’d love to pick their brain about certain choices they’ve made in their career.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - When Do You Feel The Most Inspired And Creative?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - I feel the most inspired when my environment match’s my mood. When I’m able to cultivate a space that’s safe —that allows me to be freely who I am. I’m the most creative when all I can think about is the journey it took me to get to where I am.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - What Does The Creative Process Look Like For You? How Do You Bring Your Ideas Into Reality?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - My creative process is one that I myself will truly never grasp completely. One thing I can say is that. I’m inspired by my surroundings and something will spark me to start storyboarding/mood boarding. I’ll reach out to people in excitement about a project or an idea that I have. Before all those things though I write down my vision and what I see myself doing which I include the place as well.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - Describe Your Work In 3 Words

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - Crisp, Lively, Magnetic

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - What Is Your Favorite Project Thus Far In Your Career?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - My favorite project would have to be the House of Anna Campaign. The way their story was brought to life in such a beautiful manner was jaw dropping. The project was done with so much grace and pure dedication. Being a part of the team meant so much to me and I’m happy I got to be a part of it.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - How Do You Stay Authentic And Connected To Your Truest Self?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - I never compare myself to anyone or anything around — I continue to work on myself internally and externally through words of affirmation and routines of self care which range from turning my phone off, being in nature, dancing to my favorite songs on repeat, stretching, meditating, eating more consciously etc.

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - What’s Next In Your Creative Journey?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - My next creative journey is cultivating a physical space for CORINNEWORLDWIDE. Which has been something I’ve been thinking about for a long time now. It’s definitely not happening overnight but it’s in the works!

ISAAC TAYLOR SHANE - How Can We Create More Space For Representation, Diversity, And Inclusivity Of Black Creatives In Fashion, Art, Beauty, Music, And Online, WORLDWIDE?

CORINNE BOBROW-WILLIAMS - The best way for me to answer this question—- is by putting people that are in these positions ``power” who have the mindset of all these things. Knowing how to navigate what it truly takes to implement more representation and inclusivity within the creative industry. I feel like we talk about this topic a lot but there are still so many people who are gatekeepers that continuously add on to the outdated ideals of what these things actually look like. When it comes down to it it’s all about who we want to be making these crucial decisions that will actually make change and evolve our current state that we’re in.
